What is Christmas and whwn is it celebrated?

Since the beginning of the 20th century, Christmas has been celebrated as a holiday free of religious motifs, which is also celebrated by non-Christians, where gifts are exchanged. When is the Armenian Christmas?

Christmas trees are decorated, illuminated, house, garden and street decorations are made. Gifts are received, greeting cards are given, and the arrival of Santa cLaus is symbolically depicted on Christmas Eve.
In many countries, on the afternoon of December 25, Christmas dinner is prepared and family members gather around the table. The Christmas dinner varies from country to country, but the most common are roast turkey and sausage. In some countries, it is ignited by pouring brandy on the cake( Christmas pudding) served as a dessert after the meal.
Long before Christmas, children write letters to Santa listing the gifts they want. In the representative Santa Claus cabins set up in city centers and shopping centers, attendants disguised as Santa himself or his elves listen to the children’s wishes before Christmas and collect their letters to deliver to Santa Claus. Christmas and New Year’s Eve may be confused by some. But Christmas and New Year’s are two different things. Christmas is a Christian holiday, New Year’s Day is a representative day that symbolizes the beginning of a new year. New Year’s Eve or New Year’s is a cultural event that celebrates the end of a year and the beginning of a new year. Used by cultures with an annual calendar. Since January 1 is the first day of the year in the Gregorian calendar, countries using the Gregorian calendar celebrate New Year’s Eve on the night of December 31.
