Governor Andy Beshear, who made a statement about the tornadoes that occurred in the state of Kentucky, stated that at least 70 people lost their lives in the tornado disaster, and that the loss of life could exceed 100 by the end of the day.

FEMA TAKES ACTION

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Director Deanne Criswell said in a statement that she spoke with Andy Beshear, the Governor of the state of Kentucky most affected by the tornadoes, and that the state where search and rescue efforts continue will “have all the necessary federal resources.”

LOSS OF 2 LIVES IN ARKANSAS, 3 IN TENNESSEE

At least 24 tornadoes erupted in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee, according to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). As a result of the partial collapse of a nursing home in the city of Monette, Arkansas, 2 people lost their lives and 5 people were injured.

At least three people died in Tennessee. In Illinois, it was stated that the roof of a warehouse belonging to the e-commerce company Amazon partially collapsed, and there were injuries.
