Adding categories or tags to WordPress pages is a quick and easy process. WordPress doesn’t let you add categories and tags to pages by default just with posts.
Here’s the steps to add categories or tags to pages on WordPress.
To start, from the WordPress dashboard find the plugins tab in the left-side menu. On hover, click add new. In the search field type in “pages with category and tag.” You’ll see the plugin show up. Click the install now button. Next, click the activate button. You’ll now be on the plugins page. Over in the left-side menu hover over Pages and you’ll see categories and tags now show up.
Click on Pages. Find a page you want to add a category or tag to. Click edit. On the page editor over on the right you’ll see categories and tags. You can select current categories on your site or add a new one. You can add in tags for the page. Click the update button to save your changes. If you view the categories page you’ll see the page now showing.
